To find the answer, simply set the decimal aside for later in the problem (not literally, don't actually move the decimal. Just pretend it's not there while you're doing the followings steps UNTIL the final step). Multiply 314 by 8, which would be:
2544.

Now, here's the final step, where you will need the decimal. From the right to the left, how many decimal places are there? There are only 2, so that's how many you put (from right to left) on the answer so that you have:
25.44
