1) parakeets and rabbits (simply the rabbits fraction)
2) fish (find a common denominator and which ever has a greater numerator is your answer)
3) parakeets (again find a common denominator)
4) puppies (make the denominator for puppies a 12)
5) rabbits (the denominators are the same and the rabbits numerator is greater)
6) fish (turn all of the denominators into 12)
7) turtles (turn all of the denominators to 12 and whichever has the least numerator is your answer)
8) fish (common denominator)
9) 6, because you would divide the 12 pets into 2
