I got this because you have make the fractions denomenators equal to subtract them. Once you find how to make them equal you need to mutiply the top numbers the same as the bottom so you can make the new fractions that are equal to the ones before. Then you subtract them and the wholes as well. LOOK BELOW

9/16-8/16= 1/16 of extra miles

well if you have a decimal you have to line them up and make sure the you have everything   straight and then add or subtract some thing with   division and   multiplying so just like them up
