How do u do the surface area of a prism

Since hte front and  back are the same and they are both triangles. The formula is A=1/2BH
And you can multiply by 2 since the measurements are the same.
A=1/2BH
A=1/2⋅1⋅2
A=1
1⋅2=2

So the front and back's area  is 2.
For the sides, the measurements are different so you have to do them separately.

The right side. It is a rectangle so this is the formula.

A=BH
A= 3⋅2.2
A=6.6ft^2

The left side

A=BH
A=2⋅3
A=6

Finally, you add the answers all together and that is the surface area of the prism.

6+6.6+2=14.6

The surface area of this prism is 14.6 sq feet.
