Early on summer morning, a man was walking along the railroad tracks, whistling as he went. hours passed by the sun rose higher and higher in the sky, and the man began to feel quite bothers by the heat. well, maybe it wasn't the heat so much as the fact that the soles on his shoes were worn through. he didn't mind it at first, but the more he went the more uncomfortable it got. so he went to sit down at a tree oh and what luck he found a 20 dollar bill. the man knew exactly what he wanted. he searched only a little until he found a local shoe store. the woman inside was very kind-hearted and saw his problem immediately. the woman had him sit down to try on a pair of shoes very comfortable ones. the sales lady said that he was in luck because the shoes were only 10.00. she knew if she sold them to him at this price she would not make profit. so he handed her the money and she went over to get him his change. but she only had a twenty dollar bill and two one dollar bills. so she said she would be right, because she had to run next door to get his change. the woman took the mans twenty and asked the pharmacist for two tens. the pharmacist gave her two tens exchanged for the twenty. she hurried back to the store and gave the man a 10.00 bill and put the other in the till. the man left the saleswoman as she closed the store and locked it up. a few minutes passed when someone was banging on the door. she went over and opened the door and discovered that the pharmacist was at the door. he said that the twenty's dollar bill was a counterfeit. he demanded his money back. so she went over to the till and got out two twenty dollar bills. the question you must answer is how much did the shoe saleswoman lose? ( the shoes are equal to 10.00 dollars).
