1.     Why was Robert E. Lee convinced that he should attack in the Northern territory again in June of 1863? 

He was confident that he would win because he just became victorious against the Army of the Potomac in Chancellorville. His belief and his desire to be recognized by the Confederacy by the French and British, convinced him that he should attack the Northern territory for the second time.
