Ateacher wants to give 3 markers to each of her 25 students markers come in packages of 8 how many packages of markers will the teacher need ?

The teacher will need 10 packages of markers.  If 8 markers to a package, 10 packages= 80 markers. If 25 students shall have 3 markers each, that comes to equal 75. So the teacher needs 10 packages and will have five left over.

3×25=75 markers

There is 8 markers per package so divide that amount my the amount of markers needed

75÷8=9.37 packages

But you need it in whole packages (you can't buy a fraction of a package)

So since 9.37 is over 9 packages, it rounds up one package higher which is 10
