Im in 6tg grade and since im "advanced" in math i am skipping pre algebra for 7th grade and going to algebra 1. if you have any tips of key componets of pre algebra me. its summer but i want to be as prepared as i can for algerbra next year! !

Before starting algebra, make sure you have a good understanding of arithmetic, fractions, decimals, and percents.

Being able to work with negative numbers is crucial to your success of learning algebra.

In algebra, you will learn to use variables.
Variables are just symbols used as an unknown.
Typically we use the lowercase letters of the alphabet.

But our favorite lowercase letters are x, y, and z.

You will learn how to solve equations and simplify expressions.
You will learn to graph equations and other things related to graphing.
