The answer will be 75 divided by 7.
I know this because if Scott wants to give the same amount of candy to seven friends, he will have to divide the total amount of candy by the number of friends.
75/7 is 10 r 5. (We can solve this in our head because we know 7x10 is 70 and 70+5 is 75.) 
The remainder is the amount he will have left. 
R=5
Scott will have 5 pieces left.
