I believe the correct answer is true. Collinear points are not necessarily coplanar. Points are considered to be collinear when the points lie on a single line. They are considered to be coplanar when these points are located on the same plane. It is possible that collinear points are not coplanar when these points on the line are not on the same plane. For instance, the line formed by the points is perpendicular to a plane so it is possible that only a point can be found in the plane or no points can be found in the plane. If points are collinear, then it does not follows that they are coplanar.
