This problem involves data fitting. You do this by gathering statistics that represent your data plot points. Once you plot them in a graph, you create a trendline that fits to your data points. The equation of this trendline will be the model of the equation you're trying to formulate. This trendline is also the median line because it is placed between the points. 

To solve this, you would need a software tool to be accurate which is important especially if you will be using the model equation. I used MS Excel for this. The linear equation of the median line is y = 0.3851x + 124.92. The R² is called the correlation coefficient. It tells you how good the fit is to your data points. The ideal value is 1. An R² value of 0.9098 is already a good fit. Hence, we use this equation to determine the cost when the distance is 1950 miles.

Cost = 0.3851(1950) + 124.92
Cost = $875.865
