How do i do this answer in a destructive property? -3 (n-4)

I'm going to guess you probably meant to type Distributive property...

To use the distributive property, you take the number outside of the parenthesis and multiply it by everything inside.

To begin, we take -3 and multiply it by n.

-3(n) = -3n

Now, we multiply -3 by -4. (We are multiplying by -4 and not +4 since there is a minus sign in front of the four.)

-3 * -4 = 12
(Two negatives make a positive!)

So, the final answer is -3n + 12.
