Question: Match them whether or not they are identities My reasoning: My reasoning to figure this out is to simply choose whatever value I'd like for a and b, then plug in it to the equation. The reason I am doing that is because "An identity is an equation true for all values of the variable". So then when I simplify/solve the equation, if they equal then I know it's an Identity, and if they dont equal then they're now an identity. (I chose a to equal 2 and b to equal 4, and did the work on a separate piece of paper)

Does that reasoning make sense? Because I've been on this slide for like 30 mins and it says I still havent sorted all the cards correctly .
