A tent manufacturer makes a standard model and an expedition model. Each standard tent requires 1 labor-hour from the cutting department and 3 labor-hours from the assembly department. Each expedition tent requires 2 labor-hours from the cutting department and 4 labor-hours from the assembly department. The maximum labor-hours available per day in the cutting department and the assembly department are 24 and 60, respectively. The company makes a profit of $41 on each standard tent and $58 on each expedition tent.

Let x = standard tents
Let y = expedition tents

Then x + 2y < 24
and 3x + 4y < 60.

The graph of these functions is shown to the right. Since a negative number of tents cannot be produced, both x and y have to be greater than zero.

Profit function:
P = $41x + $58y

What is the maximum potential profit for tent sales?
