I'm working on a webpage concerning the calculation of all three altitudes (heights) of an obtuse triangle. I have made a graphic (attached) which I think is appropriate for just about ANY obtuse triangle.
I'm assuming that the heights are labeled according to which vertex AND side the height is connected to. For example, the height labeled h (sub b) connects Vertex B to side b.
Is my drawing accurate, labeled correctly, etc.
I'm very sure I can calculate the lengths of the altitudes but I will also attach those equations too.
