because While flirting may technically not be cheating, it could be viewed as a breach of fidelity because you are showing interest in someone else. The very thought of looking outside of the relationship and acting on it, even mildly, can be viewed by your partner as hurtful and you are showing a romantic interest to someone else and it could lead to cheating

to me, this depends. If you're jokingly flirting, no, it is not flirting, as long as you and the other party know you are joking. However, if you're unironically flirting it could be viewed as you're trying to make moves, which could let to your significant other thinking you're trying to cheat on them. I don't recommend getting into a romantic relationship if you're going to hit on and flirt with others whilst in the relationship; it could potentially ruin the relationship.
