minutes to complete a particular job. With advances in technology, the blacksmith was able to make a
horseshoe in 9 minutes and a nail in 40 seconds, and could complete the same job in 155 minutes. In the
equations below, h represents the number of horseshoes in the job, and n represents the number of nails in
the job.
