This study compared the incidence in cardiovascular disease (CVD) among American Indians in the Strong Heart Study who were and were not exposed to environmental tobacco smoke (ETS) in the home over time. They further stratified by dietary quality (High vs. Low) to determine whether diet modified or confounded the association between ETS and CVD.
