The perimeter of a square is 4 times each side. If we have 1 square of 2 cm per side, the perimeter is 8 cm. If we place 1 square adjacent to the right side, the perimeter of the new figure is 12 cm. If we place 1 square adjacent to the right side of the previous figure, the new perimeter is 16 cm. If we continue this pattern, what would be the perimeter of 8 squares?
