Naresh and company of Amravati consigned to Mr. Ganesh 5000 Glass Boxes Costing Rs. 100 per box. M/s. Naresh and company paid Rs. 5000 for camiages, Rs. 2000 for Insurance and Rs. 3000 for
Sundry expenses.
On receipt of consignment Mr. Ganesh accepted a bill for Rs. 1,50,000, which was discounted by consignor at the bank for Rs. 1,48,500 and discount was charged to consignment account.
Mr. Ganesh sent an account sales which shows as:
(a) Cash sales of 4500 Boxes of Glass at Rs. 120 each.
(b) Expenses paid by Ganesh were- Advertisement Rs. 1,500, Godown rent Rs. 2,500, Selling expenses Rs. 1000.
(c) Mr. Ganesh remitted the balance due by Bank draft after deducting his expenses and commission
at 5% of gross sales.
