A tank contains 100 L of UC Davis CoHo iced tea with 8kg of sugar. Unsweetened iced tea enters the tankat a rate of 2 L/min. The solution is kept thoroughly mixed and drains from the tank at the same rate. (a) Write down differential equation for the amount of sugar in the tank as the function of time and state the initial condition. (5 points) y
(b) Solve the initial value problem from part (a). If you do not trust what you wrote down in part (a), dy you can instead solve 5 y(0) = 10. Note that this is NOT a correct solution to part (a). dt 20'
(c) Find all equilibria of your differential equation and determine their stability.
(d) How much sugar is going to be left in the tank after the long time has passed? How does your answer compare to your answer in part (c)?
