In 2009 the Central Mountain Valley School District had a high school graduation rate of 62%, which was the lowest graduation rate for any comparable school districts. The average graduation rate for comparable school districts was 75%. That year, the superintendent of the school district announced the launch of an ambitious new campaigh titled "Ninety by Thirty." The goal of the campaign was to increase the district's graduation to 90% by the year 2030.
