To solve this question, we analyze the percentages, and doing this, we get that the percentage of total shoppers surveyed  intend to purchase only fruits or vegetables (not both) is 12.6%.

Percentages:

63% of the shoppers will make a purchase.

Of those, 80% purchase both fruits and vegetables.

Thus, 100 - 80 = 20% purchase only one.

Percentage of shoppers who purchase only one:

20% of 63%, so:

0.126*100% = 12.6%.

Thus, the percentage of total shoppers surveyed  intend to purchase only fruits or vegetables (not both) is 12.6%.
