An inequality is an expression which makes comparison between unequal expressions i.e. both sides of the inequality sign are not equal.

The inequality is given as:

So, the verbal description is as follows:

The set of all real numbers greater than 5

To sketch on a number line, we consider the following:

To determine if the interval is bounded or not, we do the following.

means that the x starts at a value greater than 5, and the value of x has no end.

This is represented as:

Notice that 5 is at the right, while is at the left.

This means that the interval is bounded (right bounded to be precise)
