K+a = 500 3k + 100 = 3,600

Weve used two algebraic methods for solving a system of
equations--substitution and elimination. We can use either of
these two methods and get the same solution. Choose
whichever method is easier for solving a particular system.
When graphing a system of equations, the intersection point of
the two lines represents the system's solution. Not all systems of
equations have a single solution. Some systems have no
solution, and some have an infinite number of solutions. You'll
recall that we came across these same possibilities earlier while
solving single linear equations.
So far in this lesson, we've worked with systems of equations
with one solution. Now, let's explore systems with no solution,
and systems with Infinite solutions.
