Barry represents a credit card company on college campuses. He entices students with free gift--hats, water bottles, and T-shirts--to complete a credit card application. He gets paid $5 for each credit card application he collects. However, if Barry does not collect any credit card applications for the day, he will still be paid $20 for his effort. Cheri works for a different credit card company. She calls potential customers to get them to complete a credit card application. Cheri gets paid $40 regardless of how many applications she collects and she gets 2$ for each application she gets a potential customer to complete. For what amount of application do Barry and Cheri make the same amount of money? How much money do they make?
