Please help me with these two problems

For the first one start with distribution
Distribute the -4 into the numbers inside giving you
-4n + 20 -8 = 30
Then combine your like terms giving you
-4n + 12 = 30
Then move the number to one side so the variable and a number aren’t on the same side giving you
-4n = 18
Then you have to divide -4 by both sides since that is the number next to the variable giving you
N = -4.5
