Your roommate does all the dishes, so you agree to do all the yardwork. This is a good deal for you, because you eat a lot of oatmeal and your yard is shaped like a small rectangle. Your lawnmower is old though, and does not always start on the first pull. Assume that the probability that the engine starts on any one pull is 0.35, and that all pulls are independent, with respect to starting the engine. (This is probably not true in real life; my experience is that after more pulls, the engine usually starts with greater probability.) Required:
a. Find the probability that the lawnmower starts on the first pull.
b. Find the probability that the lawnmower starts on the third pull.
c. Find the probability that the lawnmower starts within the first three pulls.
d. Find the probability that it takes more than four pulls to start the lawnmower.
