Three times the first of two numbers decreased by the second equals 9. Twice the first number increased by the second number equals 11. Find the two numbers. I've already sorted out the equations, I just don't get how to get my answers [substitution or addition method]

3x - y = 9
2x + y = 11

if I'm wrong w the written equation please tell me ='>
