Difference between linear exponential and quadratic functions

An exponential function is different from both linear and quadratic functions in that the independent variable is in the exponent. exponential functions are not polynomials.examples  of exponential functions:     .    ======a linear function has the highest exponent on the independent variable being a 1. it is also a polynomial with a degree of 1. graphically, these functions are straight lines.an example of  a linear function:   ======a quadratic function has the highest exponent on the  independent variable being a  2. it is also a polynomial with a degree of 2. graphically, these are parabolic; they look like archways.examples of  quadratic functions:
