What are the solutions to 2x^2-3x-5=0

3x² - 3x - 5 = 0

First we fractorise the quadratic.

(3x - 2) (x + 1) = 0

Now we apply the zero product property that says that if ab = 0, it means either a = 0 or b = 0.

(3x - 5) = 0 or (x + 1) = 0

3x - 5 = 0
3x  = 5

x+ 1 = 0

x=-1
