Then solve for d.
Once you know d, substitute it in each length and width to find the actual lengths and widths.

0.7d + 1 + 1.5d - 2 = 2.5 + d + 4 - 1.3d

2.2d - 1 = -0.3d + 6.5

2.5d = 7.5

d = 3

Rectangle A:
Length: 0.7d + 1 = 0.7(3) + 1 = 2.1 + 1 = 3.1
Width: 1.5d - 2 = 1.5(3) - 2 = 4.5 - 2 = 2.5

Rectangle B:
Length: 2.5 + d = 2.5 + 3 = 5.5
Width: 4 - 1.3d = 4 - 1.3(3) = 4 - 3.9 = 0.1
