For the second sequence:
The first 4 terms are 1, -2, 4, and -8; a₅ = 16

Using n as the term number in the first sequence, 
a₁ = 6^(1-1)= 6⁰ = 1; a₂ = 6^(2-1) = 6¹ = 6; a₃ = 6^(3-1) = 6² = 36; a₄ = 6^(4-1) = 6³ = 216; a₅ = 6^(5-1) = 6⁴ = 1296; and a₆ = 6^(6-1) = 6⁵ = 7776.

Using n as the term number in the second sequence, 
a₁ = -2^(1-1) = -2⁰ = 1; a₂ = -2^(2-1) = -2¹ = -2; a₃ = -2^(3-1) = (-2)² = 4; a₄ = -2^(4-1) = (-2)³ = -8; and a₅ = -2^(5-1) = -2⁴ = 16.
