If we take a plane and use the axis to divide it in four, the first quadrant is the top right and the fourth is the top left. a clockwise rotation of 270 degrees takes a point in the first quadrant which we will call (x,y) takes that point and moves it around the origin so it ends up in the fourth quadrant (y, -x). to picture this put a dot in the first quadrant and use it to draw 3/4 of a circle moving your pencil clockwise.as it turns out, it doesn't matter what quadrant you start in, any point (x,y) when rotated 270 degrees clockwise gives you (y,-x). so we take each of the points given and call the point (x,y) and then we have to find (y, -x). so we take the first number (x), change it's sign (-x) and then put it second. we take the second number (y) and put it first.the image of a(-4,4) is a'(4,4)the image of b(6,2) is b'(2,-6)the image of c (1,1) is (1, -1)the image of d (-5,3) is (3,5)
