The Keloid is the type of healing by scar abnormality. This occurs around the area where an injury has already occurred. It may develop around the injury. When any injury gets healed, Keloid is formed because of the granulation tissue to grow faster than its normal rate.

It may be divided into early or late based on the maturity level of the scar.  The color of the keloid may be pink, dark brown or red. These are shiny and nodules like in structure and they may induce pain, itchiness and changes in the skin texture.It can also affect the skin movement when it becomes sever which is late stage.
