Paul has a 2000 watt electric dryer that he uses for an average of 9.50 hours per month. He is considering a gas dryer because Andrew told him it might save him money on his utility bill. The gas dryer runs at of 15,000 BTUs per hour but dries clothes a little slower so he would need to use it for 12.5 hours per month. If electricity is $0.12 per kWh, and natural gas is $1.15 a therm, which would be the most cost efficient? (100,000 BTUs = 1 therm)
