If you double your driving speed what happens to your stopping distance

Your stopping distance gets farther away.

Explanation: Think of driving your car like running. If you break into an all out sprint, you can't just plant your feet and not fall on your face as your body is still in motion. In a car, the faster you drive the more distance you need to come to a stop.
