The two environmental problems associated with fracking are:

1. The natural gas liberated after fracking contaminates the ground water and the atmosphere. Hence, causes water and air pollution.

2.The chemicals used along with application of pressure to cause fracking will contaminate ground water.

b. Describe one economic benefit to society of using fracking to obtain natural gas from shale.

The fracking process is beneficial as it provided with natural gas from a shale. Natural gas is required to generate electrical energy and to meet transportation and household needs.

c. Describe which earthly sphere (or spheres) are impacted by fracking.

Geosphere and hydrosphere are the earth spheres which are impacted by fracking.
