A diverging mirror is a reflecting surface which is a spherical one. The bulging side of the convex mirror will face towards the light source. It is a diverging mirror in which rays diverge upon after reflection. These are often used in the mirrors that are in the automobiles.  

The image that is formed by the convex mirror cannot be displayed on the screen. Hence, they are called as Virtual image. The resulting image by the convex mirror is upright, virtual and size diminished.  

i just did an experiment like this in my science class. also the answer is yes, it will get separated because they are two opposites meaning if they are opposite they can not attract.
