Aboiler in a steam power plant has an efficiency of 30% by using fuel with calorific value of 38 mj/kg and produces 320 kg/hr of steam at 800 kpa and 800°c, respectively. this steam power plant consists of two turbines i. e. high pressure and low pressure turbines. the steam flow through the high pressure turbine from the boiler and leave at 100 kpa before it is reheated to 2500°c. after that, the steam enters the low pressure turbine until its pressure dropped to 4 kpa. the steam is cooled in a condenser by water from cooling tower whose specific heat is 4.18 kj/kg. k and inlet and outlet temperature of 25 c and 48 c, respectively if the work done by the feed pump is negligible and the turbine efficiency assumed to be 100%, determine: 1)-net power output of this steam power plant in (kwh), 2)-mass flow rate of fuel into the boiler (in kg/s) 3)-the mass flow of water in condensor (in kg/s) 4)-the thermal efficiency of the cycle in percentage

Acoil formed by wrapping 80 turns of wire in the shape of a square is positioned in a magnetic field so that the normal to the plane of the coil makes an angle of 28.0° with the direction of the field. when the magnetic field is increased uniformly from 200 µt to 600 µt in 0.400 as, an emf of magnitude 80.0 mv is induced in the coil. what is the total length of the wire?

Electric field of the earth. the earth has a net electric charge that causes a field at points near its surface equal to 150 n> c and directed in toward the center of the earth. (a) what magnitude and sign of charge would a 60-kg human have to acquire to overcome his or her weight by the force exerted by the earth’s electric field? (b) what would be the force of repulsion between two people each with the charge calculated in part (a) and separated by a distance of 100 m? is use of the earth’s electric field a feasible means of flight? why or why not?
