You  can try going into detail about who you saw on the walk. where you went.what people were doing in the hallway. Did you look out a window? what did you see? how long did it take you to walk there? do you usually stop at your locker?

Also dont forget to use a colon ( : ): This can be used when listing things

semicolon (;) : is used as a pause (Seperation) in a long sentence.
