X-ray diffractiorn suppose the hypothetical element unobtanium has a single electron, which is bound in a cubic volume of side length 2r, centred about the nucleus. within this volume, the electron density is perfectly uniform, and zero outside. (a) derive an expression for the electron density within the material. it may be piecewise linear. (2 mark) (b) derive the atomic form factor of unobtanium. (5 marks) (c) if unobtainium were organised in a primitive cubic lattice of unit cell side length 2r, what would the diffraction pattern look like? note that this atom has very unusual properties, so may warrant careful thought.

Arefrigerator uses r-134a as the working fluid and operates on the ideal vapor-compression refrigeration cycle except for the compression process. the refrigerant enters the evaporator at 120 kpa with a quality of 34 percent and leaves the compressor at 70°c. if the compressor consumes 450 w of power, determine (a) the mass flow rate of the refrigerant, (b) the condenser pressure, and (c) the cop of the refrigerator. (0.00644 kg/s, 800 kpa, 2.03)
