Atoroid is constructed from insulated copper wire that has diameter 1mm. the cross-sectional diameter of the toroid is 1 cm. the radius of the toroid as measured to the center of its cross-section is 10.5 cm. the resistivity of copper is 1.7 x 10-6 ω-cm.
a) how many turns are there on this toroid?
b) calculate its self-inductance.
c) what is the energy stored in the toroid for an applied potential difference
of 0.1 v ?
d) what would be the value of a capacitor that would store the same energy if it was also charged to 0.1 v ?
