An otherwise ordinary pendulum of massmand lengthl, hangs from the perimeterof a wheel of radiusrthat is rotating at constant angular velocityω, as depicted infigure 1. as fair warning, this system is not simple and can display a surprisingly richrange of motion. for example, if the wheel is rotating very very slowly, perhaps youcan see that the pendulum behaves very much like a normal pendulum. if the wheelrotates very fast, perhaps you can imagine that the mass might simply fly aroundin a circular path. what happens if the frequency of wheel rotation is similar to theswinging frequency of the pendulum or matches harmonics of the pendulum frequency? perhaps later in the course we will consider some of these cases. for now, let’s simplytry to write the equations of motion for the system.

This is important 1. what happens to the speed of molecules in water vapor when it condenses to form a liquid? (2 points) the molecules slow down. the molecules speed up. the molecules slow down and then speed up. the molecules speed up and then slow down. 2. how might human activities change to compensate for a decrease in water supplies? (2 points) humans might build a factory. humans might build drainage systems. humans might extract more water from the ground. human behavior does not change because of the water cycle. i'll be grateful if anyone can answer these 2 questions !

Light from a sodium lamp passes through a diffraction grating that has 1000 slits per millimeter. the interference pattern is viewed on a screen 1.000 m behind the grating. the first (m = 1) two bright yellow fringes that are visible are 0.7288 m and 0.7300 m from the central maximum. what are the wavelengths of these two fringes?
