Aneutral kaon decays into two pions via the process k^0 → π + π − where m of k^0 =500mev/c2 and the pion masses are both 140 mev/c2. if the kaon is at rest, what are the energies (in mev), momenta (in mev/c), and velocities (in units of c) of the pions.

if the kaon moves in the lab with a kinetic energy of 600 mev, and the positive pion is emitted along the kaon’s direction of motion, find the kinetic energies (in mev) and momenta (in mev/c) of each pion.

the kaon has the same lab kinetic energy as in the previous problem, but the positive pion is emitted 45° relative to the kaon’s direction of motion (measured in the kaon’s rest frame). use conservation of energy and momentum to find the kinetic energies (in mev), momenta (in mev/c) and angles (in degrees) of each pion relative to the kaon initial direction.

Scientist have use computer models to create a series of maps that show how susceptible coastal cities in island countries are to the sea rising at different levels.the map shows that a 1 meter rise would swap cities all along the us eastern seaboard. a 6-meter sea level rise with sub merge a large part of florida. thermal expansion has already raise the oceans 10 to 20 centimeters the most likely cause, directly and indirectly, for such a rise in sea level is

Abasketball star covers 2.65 m horizontally in a jump to dunk the ball. his motion through space can be modeled precisely as that of a particle at his center of mass. his center of mass is at elevation 1.02 m when he leaves the floor. it reaches a maximum height of 1.90 m above the floor and is at elevation 0.910 m when he touches down again. (a) determine his time of flight (his "hang time"). (b) determine his horizontal velocity at the instant of takeoff. (c) determine his vertical velocity at the instant of takeoff. (d) determine his takeoff angle. (e) for comparison, determine the hang time of a whitetail deer making a jump with center-of-mass elevations yi = 1.20 m, ymax = 2.45 m, and yf = 0.750 m.
