Wind turbines are now recognized as useful devices for power generation. wind turbines of various types are wide-spread in the u. s. and europe and are bound to become more common in the future. in this problem we will use material from lecture 8 part c to calculate the efficiency of a wind turbine and how many such turbines would be required to replace the power output we obtain from burning fossil fuels.
