An 8 lb weight is hung on the lower end of a coil spring suspended from a ceiling. the weight comes to rest in its equilibrium position, thereby stretching the spring 6 inches. the weight is then pulled up 4 inches above is qeuilibrium position and released at t=0 with an initial velocity of 2ft/sec, directed upward. neglecting the resiistnace of the medium and assuming no external forces, find the ampolitude, period, and frequency of the resulting motioin.
