If we decrease the amount of force, and keep all other factors the same, what will happen to the amount of work?

Work is simply defined as the force done on the object multiplied by the distance the force is applied. Since work is directly proportional to the values of force and distance, any direct changes to these 2 factors would directly affect work. Since force is decreased, then the amount of work would also decrease.
