A honeybee with a mass of 0.150 g lands on one end of a floating 4.75-g popsicle stick, as shown in (Figure 1) . After sitting at rest for a moment, it runs toward the other end with a velocity v⃗ b relative to the still water. The stick moves in the opposite direction with a speed of 0.140 cm/s.
What is the velocity of the bee? (Let the direction of the bee's motion be the positive x direction.)
Express your answer to three significant figures and include appropriate units.

An astronaut in space cannot use a scale or balance to weigh objects because there is no gravity. but she does have devices to measure distance and time accurately. she knows her own mass is 77.4 kg , but she is unsure of the mass of a large gas canister in the airless rocket. when this canister is approaching her at 3.50 m/s , she pushes against it, which slows it down to 1.30 m/s (but does not reverse it) and gives her a speed of 2.60 m/s . what is the mass of the canister?

You have a resistor and a capacitor of unknown values. first, you charge the capacitor and discharge it through the resistor. by monitoring the capacitor voltage on an oscilloscope, you see that the voltage decays to half its initial value in 3.00 ms . you then use the resistor and capacitor to make a low-pass filter. what is the crossover frequency fc?
