The Scotch-yoke mechanism converts rotational motion of the disk to oscillatory translation of the shaft. If θ = 48°, ω = 2.47 rad/s, α = 2.93 rad/s2, r = 300 mm and d = 600 mm, determine the velocity and acceleration of point P of the shaft. The velocity and acceleration are positive if to the right, negative if to the left.
